Focus upon the Quran

Today is the 3rd day of Ramadan, and we hope it has been amazing for you and your loved ones so far. Soon this blessed month will pass by without us even noticing it, and then another Ramadan will be finished.

In order to attain the most reward in this blessed month it is important to make the whole month ibadah-centered.

Some people spend the month of Ramadan sleeping as much as possible during day-time and finding any activity to bypass the long wait until iftar.

So, they end up wasting precious Ramadan-time watching TV-series, watching movies, checking their social media updates, and other things which have little to no benefit.

Ramadan is the month in which Allah allows us to really fulfill the purpose of our creation. He created us all to worship Him alone.

How can we worship Him?

Well there are many ways, and after fulfilling our obligatory duties and abstaining from the prohibited, we should try to do as many as the beloved acts to Allah as we can. Remember also that Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed.

So, since Ramadan and the Quran are closely connected, much of our time should be focused on the Quran. Reciting the entire Quran once in this month should be a goal for most of us. And for us who are able to go even beyond that, we can even recite it multiple times.

Focusing upon its understanding is also something which is good, however, many scholars mentioned that it is better, specifically in Ramadan, to focus upon reciting as much Quran as possible because of the immense reward that one attains by doing that.

May Allah make you and your loved ones amongst those who are able to recite as much Quran as possible, and may He make you amongst those who not only recite it, but also live according to it. Ameen.
