Today is the 2nd day of Ramadan, and in sha Allah it has been a good experience for you and your family so far. We are still in the beginning, but hope to see many great things in this month. We wanted to remind you about the importance of disciplining yourself in order to get the most out of the month.
Most people already know to abstain from eating, drinking, and sexual relations from one’s spouse during the daytime of Ramadan. However, a level of discipline should be developed to do righteous acts and abstain from those acts which would earn the displeasure of Allah.
So, there is a basic form of discipline that needs to be developed which will be based upon following a particular routine or schedule for Ramadan.
This can be the real Ramadan-changing factor for an individual. For example, someone who has good discipline can to do the following to start his day:
- Pray tahajjud when waking up.
- Make du’a.
- Eat healthy suhoor.
- Pray fajr.
- Make after-prayer dhikr.
- Recite Quran.
This is just an example. The idea is to make a schedule and act accordingly the whole month without deviating from that schedule. Why don’t we say to just make a schedule?
Well, anyone can come up with a schedule, but it takes real discipline to abide by it. We ask Allah to make you and your family amongst those who really benefit from Ramadan by making a good schedule and being able to abide by it as much as possible. Ameen.
Just a reminder: We currently have many ongoing dawah projects, and are in need of funds in order to continue them. One of our great projects you could be getting the reward for is our YouTube channel that has more than a thousand videos and regularly gets around 400,000 views a month.
If in this noble month, you can start to donate as little as $1 a day (i.e. $30 a month) for us to continue producing more quality content, you will in sha Allah share in the rewards for every single person who converts to Islam through our videos, every person who starts practicing the Deen, and not to mention, every single time someone again and again gets reminded about the Words of Allah by listening to one of our Quran videos.
If you have the opportunity, we hope Allah gives you the tawfeeq to start a regular donation to this noble cause in this blessed month, and that He rewards you immensely for it.
And if you’re already one of our amazing monthly donors, please consider making an extra one-time donation in this blessed month. May Allah give you good health and a long life and, in the hereafter, make you among the successful! Ameen.
